Concrete is the most widely used construction material in civil engineering industry because of its high structural strength and stability. Cement and sand is .
experimental investigation consisted of making M20 concrete with various proportions of quarry dust as a replacement to fine aggregate and determining the strength properties of concrete.

This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation on the properties of concrete using copper slag as partial replacement of fine aggregate. In the present study the experimental investigations are carried out to evaluate the strength and durability characteristics of concrete by ...
Cement was partially replaced in concrete at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25% with both bone and wood ashes. Chemical analysis was carried out on both the wood and bane ashes in order to determine their pozzolanic properties. While compressive strength test was conducted on the concrete obtained from both cement replacements.
an attempt to experiment on use of quarry dust to r. e. place sand in . concrete. 2. R. EVIEW OF LITERATURE. The. choice of. quarry dust. as . replacement . for sand . has been su. p. por. ted in the pr. e. vious study (Manassa, 2010) showing that up to 20% of sand has been effectively replaced by quarry dust in traditional concrete.
Hence, partial or full replacement of fine aggregates by the other compatible materials like sintered fly ash, crushed rock dust, quarry dust, glass powder, recycled concrete dust, and others are being researched from past two decades, in view of conserving the ecological balance.
Quarry rock dust can be an economic alternative to the river sand. Quarry Rock Dust as substitutes for Natural Sand in concrete. Mix design has been developed for M25 and M40 grades using design approach IS for both conventional concrete and quarry dust concrete.
To reduce the impact of the quarry dust on environment and humans, this waste can be used to produce a new product by partially replacing fine aggregates with quarry dust in concrete. The main aim focus of this paper was to quarry dust partial replaces natural sand in concrete for studying the hardened strength properties of concrete.
The percentage replacement will be 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60% and 70% with natural fine aggregates. For making concrete OPC 53 grade cement is used. Cubes, beams and cylinders will be casted and tested compressive strength, Split tensile strength, and flexural strength as well as for durability properties.

Due to marble dust, it proved to be very effective in assuring very good cohesiveness of mortar and concrete. From the above study, it is concluded that the marble dust can be used as a replacement material for cement ; and 30 to 40% replacement of marble dust gives an excellent result in strength aspect and quality aspect.
